Air quest project concept
Airbnb

Objective
This project was developed in response to a designated D&AD brief which focused on creating a digital tool or experience that capitalises on Gen Z's online connectivity to deliver meaningful in real life experiences through airbnb.
Overview
The idea is to promote airbnb's connectivity and ways of reaching new people in a relaxed manor through their use of volunteer work. By completing these quests the users gains points which they can redeem for awards and vouchers.

Process

As part of the design process, I reviewed other app layouts that share similar concepts. This practice aids in conceptualising my ideas and exploring various potential designs for each feature of the app.

Maintaining consistency with Airbnb's established designs and design function was important in my approach.I ensured that the utilisation of their logos and adherence of their colour palette was maintained whilst developing a distinct brand identity for my concept. This strategy was implemented to effectively differentiate the two platforms whilst retaining the familiarity associated with Airbnb's visual identity.

Following the research phase, I delved in to a deeper exploration of my ideas by developing user flows outlining the app's intended functionalities. This process aids in visualising the necessary designs for each page of the application. Following that, I moved into the wireframing phase of my design process.. where I translated these ideas into concrete wireframes that serve as the foundation for further refinement and development.
Constraints
I had to take a risk and let go of my initial concept for this brief. As I delved deeper into my research, I struggled to align my idea with the requirements of the brief. Despite attempting to adjust it, I ultimately chose to discard the idea. It seemed more practical to develop a new concept that aligns more closely with the brief's expectations.
