LADbible logo
LADbible

Objective
Whilst undergoing work experience at LADbible, I was assigned the responsibility to design a new logo that is UI friendly. The decision to change the logo stemmed from feedback provided by UNILAD Tech after the development of a their website. Their team expressed concerns that the original logo did not effectively stand out within the website's current user interface (UI).

Constraints
Despite limited experience with Illustrator.. I *efficiently* adapted to the task at hand, learning skills on the spot under high-pressure conditions. I relied on experimentation and intuition, drawing upon my existing skillset to effectively navigate the software. Although challenging (especially within the context of working for a renowned company), I remained composed and persevered until achieving the desired outcome.

Process
During the logo design process, I generated numerous variations to explore a wide range of ideas. This approach allowed me to select the most promising concepts *and* those most aligned with the brand's vision. Subsequently, I iterated on these chosen designs, refining them until achieving a satisfactory outcome.

To draw inspiration for ideas, I conducted thorough research into the brand's objectives and desired outcomes. This involved analysing images, text and competitor logos to glean insights and spark creative concepts. Additionally, I explored keywords relevant to the brand's message such as 'mountains' and 'nature' for UNILAD Adventure and 'music icons' for UNILAD Sound, to further inform and inspire the design process.
The inspiration would then be shown on the new logo presentation to convey the idea behind the logo.

The designs were subsequently rendered in various colors to ensure versatility across all facets of UNILAD's new website concepts.

Additional designs that I created were also included as honorable mentions during the presentation of the new logo. This allowed for further exploration and consideration in case the three main concepts did not fully align with the preferences of the UNILAD team.

Additional work
I worked on multiple projects during my time at LADbible. I also had the opportunity to design a presentation template that the team needed for another project they were working on.
I received instructions to develop a grunge-style template, accompanied by a concise presentation outlining the content requirements for each page. Additionally, I was provided with essential assets including: light and dark background textures, font styles, logos and a color palette to adhere to throughout the design process.
These are just a few of the pages I designed.

I made sure to create different variations of colour as well as font styles.
